Our Commitment
It’s one thing to say that safety is a core value.  Implementing and measuring it is something else. Accident prevention and the measurement of safety performance are integral parts of managing the business in every operation at ABM. A key factor in the success of the ABM accident prevention program is dedication to the philosophy that safety is a responsibility shared by every employee. Taking this approach one step further, accountability for safety performance starts with front line supervisors and ends with senior management. Every accident has personal, operational, and financial consequences. The accident prevention program at ABM is designed to reduce or eliminate the impact of these consequences on both employees and customers.

What We Are Doing
When it comes to accident prevention, ABM is among the industry leaders. Safety Directors are assigned to each ABM company to ensure that local accident prevention programs are effective. Employees receive the training, tools, and supervision they need to perform their work safely and efficiently in accordance with ABM and customer requirements. Supervisors have access to comprehensive, on-line training and safety communication resources tailored to meet their needs. Safety performance is monitored monthly to determine program effectiveness and opportunities for improvement. Senior management establishes accident prevention goals and ensures that responsibilities and accountabilities are clearly established and properly assigned. ABM Safety Services provides leadership and expertise in safety program development and management. Operations are provided with the information and resources they require to implement and maintain effective accident prevention programs.

What Sets ABM Apart
ABM understands that workplace safety is an expected element of best business management practice. Our customers expect that accident prevention programs will be implemented in all work locations.  The ability of operations managers to deliver appropriate and effective accident prevention programs that meet both legal and customer requirements sets ABM apart from the competition.
